Midtown Penthouse, Manhattan

WBF + Wrap Around Terrace

This pre-war 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom penthouse apartment in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan already had two highly sought features – a wood burning fireplace in the living room and useable sunny outdoor space. Further enhancing the space, the owners were granted permission to acquire common area doubling the size of the kitchen and master closet and gaining more windows in the process. The client was particularly pleased with our recommendation to replace a living room window with a new door for access to the wrap around balcony originally only accessible from a narrow hallway.

The living room furniture plan includes comfortable seating for eight with custom ordered area rug and pillows in an array of colors that appealed to the clients. They specified their child’s bedroom to be cheerful and sophisticated, not too juvenile. A deeper, more serene color palette was recommended for the Master Bedroom. An antique Tibetan chest was acquired for the Living Room. The compact size Living Room media cabinet, Kitchen-Dining display/storage cabinet and Master Bedroom headboard and window seat were custom designed & fabricated.
